Nylon-6 (PA-6)

A strong, tough and durable material. Suitable for connecting elements and other technical components. Thanks to self lubricant properties ideal for slide bearings. Always has to acclimatize for a few days after injection moulding, taking approximately 3% moisture to obtain its normal strenght. Operational temperature can go up to 100-120°C temporarily for non-critical parts. Many nylons are self extinguishing.

Nylon-66 (PA-66)

A strong, tough and durable material. Suitable for connecting elements and other technical components. Thanks to self lubricant properties ideal for slide bearings. Always has to acclimatize for a few days after injection moulding, taking approximately 3% moisture to obtain its normal strenght. Operational temperature can go up to 100-120°C temporarily for non-critical parts. Many nylons are self extinguishing.

Polyethylene (Ld-Pe)

Low density polyethylene is resistant to many chemicals. Therefore especially suitable for coverplugs and caps. Because of great flexibility it is almost unbreakable. Does not take in moisture and therefore very suitable for electrical insulation. Polyethylene can not be glued, burns after lighting it and may discolour and becomes brittle after exposure to direct sunlight.

Polyethylene (Hd-Pe)

High density polyethylene is resistant to many chemicals. Therefore especially suitable for coverplugs and caps. The material is a little less flexible than low density Polyethylene, but has a better scratch firmness. Does not take in moisture and therefore very suitable for electrical insulation. Polyethylene can not be glued, burns after lighting it and may discolour and becomes brittle after exposure to direct sunlight.

Polyoxymethylene (POM)

Strong durable material, suitable for flexible connections between elements and numerous other technical products. Resembles nylon, but takes in less than 0.5% moisture. Therefor it has a higher dimensional stability. Good electrical insulation. Suitable for suspending clamps, bearings, gear-wheels etc. POM can be glued.

Polyvinylchloride (Z-PVC)

Flexible polyvinylchloride is ideal for application in vibration dampers, door buffers or insert feet. The material can very well be glued.

PEEK

PEEK is a super-engineering thermoplastic excellent for its special physical and chemical characteristics

Polypropylene (PP)

Relatively strong material which does not take in moisture and is very well resistant to scratching. Heat resistant up to 100-120°C temporarily for non-critical parts. Therefore suitable for technical as well as domestic products, such as caps, hinges, kitchen utensils.

Elastomer

A very elastic material which allows elastic deformation easily. Usually available in several hardnesses. Very appropriate for supporting feet or anti-slip (non-skid) soles.

Elastomer (40%)+ PP (60%)

This material combines the elastic characteristics of a thermoplastic elastomer with the strength of polypropylene.

Polystyreen (SV-PS)

High Impact Polystyreen (HIPS) is tough and more resistant to impact and fracture than normal polystyrene. Insulates material, as no moisture is taken in.

Bakelite

A thermohard plastic. Very suitable for e.g. ball knobs and electro technical parts thanks to excellent insulation properties. A hard solid plastic with a high temperature resistance.

Nylon-6 + 30% glass fibre

For technical products which require high dimensional stability and durability at higher operating temperatures. Good strength and stiffness in combination with good impact properties. Very suitable for heavy-duty handles.

Polystyrol (PS)

Impact-resistant Polystyreen is tough and more fracture-proof than normal polystyrene. Excellent insulation material, because no moisture is taken in.

Polyolefin

ABS

ABS is a tough and strong plastic, stiffer than Nylon and is scratch resistant. In addition, it has an attractive glossy surface, is colourfast, and is resistant to most chemicals. This makes ABS very appropriate for thin-walled visual products such as housing of electro-domesticals or electronical equipment.

Polyurethane (PUR)

A very flexible plastic with low E-Modulus and high yield strain. Polyurethane can be stretched easily and comes back to its original shape when the load is removed. This makes polyurethane very suitable for e.g. round belts and vibration absorbing buffers.

Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is an amorph thermoplastic material with high tensile strength and stiffness. Polycarbonate is reasonably resistant to elevated temperatures and good resistant to outside weather conditions. Polycarbonate is a good insulator but its chemical resistance is limited.

Sealon

A unique plastic which is extremely suitable for manufacture of cold formable plastic products, such assynthetic lead seals.

thermoplastic elastomer

A high quality thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) with SEBS (styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene) molecule structure. A flexible and recyclable material and a good alternative for PVC or natural rubber in terms of environmental impact. The hardness matches Shore 70A. SEBS is resistant to many chemicals except petrol and burns after lighting. It can be applied in a wide temperature range, has reasonably resistant to weathering and is applied a.o. in the electronics and automotive industry.

Polystyrene (SV-PS)

Medium Impact Polystyreen (MIPS) is tough and reasonably fracture proof. Excellent insulation material, because no moisture is taken in. Is often being applied to e.g. toy hobby cupboards, insulating products.

Polystyrene (SV-PS)

General purpose Polystyreen (GPPS) is insulating, because no moisture is taken in. Is often being applied to e.g. toy hobby cupboards, insulating products.

Polyphenylenesulfide(PPS)

A thermoplast with a very high temperature resistance. Used in extreme conditions, where high temperatures and high tensile strength is is required.

Nylon-6 + 25% glass fibre

For technical products with an excellent dimensional stability and durability at high operational temperatures. High tensile strength and stiffness in combination with good impact properties.

Nylon + GF Chrome plated

POM + 30% glass fibre

POM + 30% glass fibre is stronger than unfilled POM, can withstand higher temperatures but is less flexible and more brittle.

Polyp (PP) + TPE

Polyurethane (acryl)

Slide proof polyurethane provided with acryl base adhesive layer for strong adhesion to metals, polycarbonate, ABS and acrylic. Used for Skiffy buffers (serie 117)

Polyurethane (rubber)

Slide proof polyurethane provided with rubber base, for strong adhesion to polypropylene, polyethylene and powder coated materials. Not suitable for adhesion to metals, polycarbonate, ABS and acrylic. Used for Skiffy buffers (serie 117)

PA66 + C + PTFE

This engineering plastic was especially developed for high performance applications. The polyamid 66 compound contains carbon fibre and PTFE . The carbon fibre contributes to better mechanical characteristics (allowing higher forces), better heat discharge of slide bearings and reduced wear. The PTFE causes reduced friction and less abrasive wear.

Brass

This non-ferrous material is widely used in electronics applications, due to good conductivity. Nickel plating makes it also suitable for decorative applications, due to it’s attractive shine. Brass is a RoHS compliant material.

Mild steel

This type of steel is used in applications where a high mechanical strength is required. Lower material cost can make it an alternative to brass when conductivity is not a critical issue. Zinc plating provides a professional finish and is RoHS compliant.

Stainless steel

X5CrNiS18,8. Good corrosion and wear resistance.
